01. The Curriculum
Year 10-11
In Years 10 and 11, students begin to solidify their interests in healthcare and the biomedical sciences, making it an ideal time to delve deeper into relevant concepts. This stage of the curriculum is designed for a more focused exploration of the field, covering core concepts integral to medicine and providing deep insights that are typically inaccessible to students at this stage.
In Years 11 and 12, students have firmly established their interest in healthcare and the biomedical sciences and are now focused on developing robust portfolios, enhancing their skills, and expanding their knowledge bases in preparation for university applications. The curriculum is strategically designed to help students distinguish themselves with unique portfolios while also cultivating the skills essential for their future university applications.
Year 11-12
Year 12-13
In Years 12 and 13, students engage with our flagship curriculum, tailored specifically for those preparing to apply to medical schools and healthcare-related programs. This is a critical period where the theoretical and practical components of previous years converge into the application process itself. Students receive comprehensive support designed to guide them through every aspect of their applications, from crafting compelling personal statements to mastering interview strategies

Our skills development aims to build a strong foundation for the students' application journey to help them explore medicine from all angles, build confidence, and acquire skills. Each student will have a 1:1 session with their mentor at least once a month, covering core concepts to further each student’s individual development
02. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Each student will be allocated a mentor who matches their learning style, university preferences, and aspirations. Psychometric testing will ensure the mentors will fit the student's personality type and these mentors will then follow the student throughout the entire application process, providing specialised support where required.
1-to-1
support
In these 1-to-1 sessions, students will develop both soft skills (such as leadership and management) nd hard skills (including verbal reasoning and factual insights). They will gain the confidence and competence to excel academically, effectively analyse information, and articulate their thoughts with clarity and precision.

Matching
Our statistics show that most students who get into top academic medical schools must include a paragraph on work experience and research in their personal statements. Because of this, we offer our NHS-based clinical work experience, Personalised Care Experience, and Research Placement for students, with insights and experiences gained here having global relevance.

03. The Student Project
Her presentations have now been held in over 60+ schools on 3 continents, and she wrote this in her personal statement:
“Fascinated by the dynamic, drastic impact social protection and welfare maximisation can have on population health, I started a global social media campaign to raise awareness of basic first-aid skills. By employing leadership techniques I saw doctors demonstrate, I feel proud to have made a tangible impact on improving health literacy by coordinating a network of international student ambassadors to conduct presentations involving over 60 schools worldwide.”
At Medefine, we believe in the transformative power of hands-on learning. As part of our commitment to comprehensive education, each student is required to develop at least one project during their tenure. This initiative allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, fostering a deeper understanding of their chosen topics while also developing a suite of skills essential for their future academic and professional careers.
One of our students who received an offer from Cambridge (2023 entry) recognised the critical gap in school curriculums where first aid education was conspicuously absent. Moved by the importance of this life-saving knowledge, she initiated "First Aid 101," a global movement aimed at integrating first aid training into school programs worldwide.
